How to grab a pair of Kanye’s highly-coveted sweats, which drop October 8.
Back in March, Kanye West’s new Adidas Yeezy Calabasas line of streetwear dropped, signaling the next evolution of his partnership with the sportswear giant. But of all of the pieces in the collection, it was the track pants—a take on Adidas’s classic three-stripe style—that sold out faster than you can say “re-seller.” Since then, the coveted casual trousers have fetched prices between $500 and $1,000 on secondary-market sites like Grailed. Now, Adidas has announced that the track pants are coming back and hitting tons of third party retailers in addition to Adidas’s own ecommerce site. That doesn’t mean getting your hands on a pair will be easy—but below, we’ve done our best to lessen the stress of copping the season’s most hyped-up sweats.
Varieties: Black/Black, Scarlet/Red
Release Date: October 8 (United States), November 22 (Global)
Online Release URL: Adidas.com/Yeezy
Know What You’re Getting
Last time around, the Calabasas sweats came in three color combos: black/black, navy/red, and maroon/orange. This time, only the black and maroon versions will be hitting the market. Additionally, for this drop, Adidas tweaked the design both of the Calabasas logo (which now looks less like the vintage Adidas logo it was originally based on), and decided to screen print it on the track pants as opposed to the embroidery featured on the pairs from March. This move is likely tied to an increase in the number of pairs they’re producing this time around, which is good news if you’re trying to buy a pair—but is bad news in terms of the quality one can expect from this version.
Kanye West’s apparel designs feature some of the most aggressive vanity sizing in the menswear game. A T-shirt from his Yeezy Season collection often requires one to size down a size or two, but these track pants are seemingly more in line with Adidas’s standard line-up. According to Adidas’s size chart, a size medium run 81cm in the waist when “relaxed” (meaning not stretched out), which translates to about 32 inches. (For reference, that’s the same measurment for a pair of regular Adidas “Superstar” sweats.) Keep in mind, however, that these can stretch out a few inches. Size down if you’re a tweener.
Adidas unveiled a list of stores that will be carrying the sweatpants. We will update this post as raffles and online drop times are announced.

How to Be a Better, Faster Online Shopper
Check Your Internet Connection
Check out Speedtest.net to see how fast your Internet is actually running. Then call your Internet provider to correct any issues or upgrade to the highest of high-speed connections. When thousands of ravenous customers all crash a website, even the smallest fraction of megabyte speed can make the difference.
Use the Buddy System
If you really want these sweats, increase your odds by telling some friends and family to try their best to get them at the same time you are. But don’t inundate them with tons of information, because chances are they don’t care. Simply send them a link, a specific time, the size you would like, and your credit card information.
Type Your Credit Card Info into a Word Doc
You don’t want to be the idiot who gets the sneakers in his cart, only to realize you can’t find your wallet. Write all of the info in a Word document, then simply copy and paste.
Resist the Urge to Refresh
Once a link goes live, remember that the site will be slow. There are way more people on the site than at any other time, all vying for a handful of sneakers. But the way these systems work is in order, so all refreshing will do is kick you to the back of the line. Be patient, hold your place, and make attempts to add your size to your cart about once every minute. Feverishly clicking on the same link won’t help.
Or, Don’t Do Any of This
Sleep in, wait ’til these sweats hit the aftermarket, and pick them up for a sizeable market next week. The choice is yours.
